Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 19, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Singularity. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Singularity collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you connect your Google account to our application to manage your Gmail and Google Calendar.
2. Data Ownership and Processing
Singularity is a productivity tool designed to interact directly with your Google account.
- Local Storage & Sync: We sync and cache your email threads, messages, drafts, and calendar events locally on your secured database instance to provide fast search and offline reading.
- Data Ownership: You retain complete ownership of all data. We do not use your emails, calendar events, or personal information for advertising, marketing, or any purposes other than rendering the application service to you.
3. Data Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, rent, or lease your Google user data. We do not share, transfer, or disclose your Google user data (including email contents, calendar events, contact lists, and metadata) to any third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:
- AI Processing (User-Initiated & Non-Training): If you choose to use our optional AI features (such as draft composition or priority triaging), relevant email and calendar text may be sent securely to LLM providers (e.g., OpenAI or Anthropic) for real-time processing. This data is transmitted via secure SSL/TLS channels, is not stored or logged by the LLM providers, and is never used by them to train their AI models.
- Service Delivery: We only transfer Google user data to provide, maintain, or improve the core productivity features of Singularity (such as sending emails or scheduling calendar events via Google APIs on your behalf).
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose data if required to do so by law, regulation, or legal process.
4. Google API Scopes and Usage
To provide our core features, Singularity requests access to your Google account using specific, limited OAuth scopes:
| Scope | Purpose |
|---|---|
| gmail.modify | Allows us to retrieve, read, archive, and delete emails in your inbox to provide a unified experience. |
| gmail.compose | Allows us to create and update draft emails when you draft messages or use our AI Co-Pilot. |
| gmail.send | Allows us to send emails on your behalf when you reply to a thread or write a new message. |
| calendar | Allows us to display your events, schedule new meetings, and edit existing events. |
5. Google API Limited Use Policy
Singularity's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the **Limited Use** requirements.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your Google user data only for as long as necessary to provide you with the Singularity service.
- Retention Period: Synced email metadata, calendar events, and cached credentials are retained only as long as you maintain an active account with Singularity.
- User-Initiated Deletion: You can disconnect your Google account or delete your Singularity account at any time through the Settings panel in the application.
- Data Purge: Upon account deletion or disconnection, all associated Google user data, access tokens, and cached emails/events are permanently and securely deleted from our databases within 30 days. You can also request manual deletion of all your stored data by contacting us directly at rushil.gorasia@gmail.com.
7. Security of Your Data
We employ industry-standard encryption protocols (SSL/TLS) to secure all communications between your device, the backend, and Google API servers. User authentication tokens and keys are securely stored, encrypted, and isolated to ensure your personal communication hub remains completely secure.
